The characters are Princess Makaela and Mel Yes it's under water cause it's set in Atlantis. Aren't they talented? They can breathe under water!!! Sorry for the dodgy background, I made this whole picture in around 3 or 4 hours...plus i had no idea what to do for the bg so i came up with this!! It looked better in the sketch Also i don't know if Mel would actually attack someone with his surf board...i just thought it would be funny Mel belongs to Princess Makaela belongs to Artwork by me. |

Good luck in the competition!
I would use my surfboard as a weapon. >D

Why walk when you can run?
As cool as it would be to use a surf board, i still prefer the fry pan

I actually like the background, big girl. However, THEY don't seem like they're under the water. It's almost like they're in front of your underwater scene. Now, while that works in an abstract way, it doesn't work in a realistic way. Overall, it doesn't hurt the piece seeing as it's cartoony, but if you wanted to do another underwater piece, I would put a slightly blue filter over them and some shafts of light or bubbles in front of them. Maybe a fish or two? Dust particles suspended in the water?
Anyhow, HIT HER WITH THE SURF BOARD! YOU CAN DO IT!

Mum: Would you like to try a Hot Buttered Rum... without the rum?
Me: So... a Hot Buttered Virgin?
Both:...
Me: No... wait...
I know, i should have tried harder with the background
but your right, next time i do an underwater thing i'll make it look better
thanks for the tip :3
